Metasys N2
The n2 adapter is a Johnson Controls Metasys N2 trunk adapter. N2 is a
single-master bus, which shapes how you use this adapter.
Modes
sniffer(default) — read-only. Decodes N2 traffic while the existing JCI supervisor (NAE/NCM) drives the trunk. This is the safe mode for a live system: OmniBus only listens.master— actively polls configured devices. Use this only when no other N2 supervisor is on the wire — putting a second master on a single-master bus will disrupt it.
Decoding
Frame decode and point decode are validated against captured frames.

N2 points decoded by OmniBus can also be surfaced as BACnet objects (with configurable engineering units) when paired with the BACnet adapter — see BACnet MS/TP.
