First setup

Open the board's page at http://etherjax-XXXX.local/.

1. Set an admin password. A new board has none, and the page shows No admin password until you set one: anyone on the network can change or reflash it. Under Admin password, enter it in New password and Confirm, then choose Set password. Use the same password on every board. See admin password.
2. Choose the role at the top of Settings: Encoder · line in, Decoder · line out, Serial server or USB/IP server.
3. Name the board. Hostname is its network name (letters, digits and -). Stream name (just Name in the serial and USB/IP roles) is what the matrix and other devices show.
4. For a fixed address, tick Static IP address and fill in IP address, Netmask and Gateway.
5. Choose Save & reboot. The board restarts in its new role.

Then set up the role:

• Encoder
• Decoder
• Serial server
• USB/IP server

Settings changed with Save & reboot take effect after the restart. Routing, volume, serial port and USB/IP settings apply at once, without a reboot.
